Read Right Reading Programs are fully grounded in scientific understanding of brain function, learning theory, reading theory, language acquisition theory, cognitive processing theory, and more. The program has been in development for 30 years. In 2010, independent gold-standard research verified that the Read Right Reading Intervention Program for remediation, remedial reading, and the improvement of mild to severe reading problems is highly effective. In July 2011, the research was reviewed and given high marks by scientific experts at the National Center on Response to Intervention.

When your school or campus starts a Read Right program, our consultants come to you in Coker AL and train your staff to be small group tutors. Your tutors in Coker AL and Alabama State are trained to provide reading instruction and a reading environment that is highly effective for rapid reading improvement. Unlike any other reading program, Read Right methodology has been applied with success with elementary, middle school, high school, and college students; every grade level and every age group.

For the Reading Intervention Program, your staff will receive 7 weeks of hands on training (spread over 18 weeks). Because training is hands-on, reading instruction for your reading students will start immediately. Your staff will become proficient in the Read Right Reading Intervention Program. This includes everything from performing entry-level student assessments, to use of the instructional methods, project management and student management systems, training materials, implementation manuals, reporting systems, and quality assurance systems.

Up to 4 staff members are trained at a time. They can be certified teacher, instructional aides, or a combination of the two. Each teacher or aide will work with 5 students. These students can be: Title I students, special needs students, readers with dyslexia (dyslexic readers), Special Education students, English language learners (ELL), or any student who has reading problems and needs help with reading skills.

Title: Meet Amy & Daughter Maddy
Transforming a child into a successful Reader

I teach pre-k here at Post and I've been in education for 10 years. In first grade we noticed that her reading progress was very low and everything else her math skills everything like that, you know, were really good. And vocabulary was wonderful but when it came to reading and doing site words we just…we couldn't, we couldn't do it. So we worked with her that and year we worked at home with a new program they were doing that was just like … they would send home a list of words and we had to time her, and that just set us back even more.

That when I go to school, it's like I'm going to have a bad day again, and once I go to Read Right its like "Oh this is going to be a good day". I'm working on a hard book called "Ponies" I'm reading right now and it's pretty hard, but I'm getting through it. I wish I could read...

Backpacking. These hikers are on an all day hike. They walk in a single file steady pace, at a steady pace.

At last the hikers reach the top of the hill.

I have seen such great results that I would have done anything to of had it that first grade year where I could have understood better then and could have keep her from having to go through what she went through. In Maddy's personal experience with the reading problems, it was devastating for her. It was devastating to me. Because, being an educator, I expected that when she started having problems, that I could just fix it. At the beginning of the year we would sit to do home work to 3 1/2, 4 hours in the afternoon and she lost on playing with a her friends. She missed out on a lot. Since she found success in Read Right, she's a different child. We come home and we don't worry about having to sit down immediately and get our homework done. We go play we take a break , eat a snack, and then we come in and sit down and do our homework. She goes to her room now, and gets her homework done on her own. That's a big accomplishment for her. Because she knows she can get it done. Then she can go play, and you know, have a normal childhood.

Congratulations, Maddy! You are on your way to becoming an excellent reader!

I want educators to know how wonderful Read Right is and what a difference it is. As a pre-k teacher we've already started doing the early pack for Read Right. It's amazing, and my kids love it. We do one book a week, and it's amazing to watch a 4-year-old sit down and take a book and you know they know exactly what's on that book.
